On July 22nd.  Douglas Downing joined the Ampthill Past Memories Get Together to introduce and narrate his film “Avenue House – A Collection Revealed” that features Simon Houfe guiding us around Avenue House set in the time of Sir Albert Richardson.

Only four days later the sad passing of Simon Houfe was announced. Simon was a well-known and renowned Ampthill resident and a very knowledgeable historian of anything Bedfordshire and beyond.

Due to popular demand, we are planning to show the film again later in the year, for those who missed the opportunity and now as a tribute to Simon.  Douglas will be joining us again for this new event.
